Hello fellow Nepenthes lover!

My name is Gianne and I have been growing Nepenthes and other interesting plants since I was very young. My grandmother kept African Violets on the kitchen windowsill and I naturally followed suit...although I like to think my plants were slightly more entertaining! My growing interest in cultivating, learning, and photographing tropical pitcher plants motivated me to create this website as an online diary for my plant hobby. I also love sharing photos on my Instagram, @Nepenthes_Diary. I hope my many joys and occasional failures help you on your own plant journey!

In addition to cultivating Nepenthes, I breed, show, and am a certified judge for domestic and wild Bettas. The sister website to my fish hobby is at Inglorious Bettas. My YouTube channel will host videos for both my fish and my carnivorous plant hobbies.
