Love the compact growth habit!
This burkei x hamata came into my collection in a very unique way - I won it as the grand prize in a raffle during an online meeting held by the Southern California Carnivorous Plant Enthusiasts (SCCPE)! It was definitely a major highlight for me during the very beginning of the pandemic, when everything shifted online and I was attending a lot of Zoom meetings to connect with my fellow hobbyists. I really treasure this plant for preserving that wonderful memory during an otherwise dark time.

When it arrived, it was quite tiny, only maybe 2" across as a young rooted basal. Within the span of two years, however, it has grown in leaps and bounds, and recently graduated to a 6" pot! It really takes after the hamata parent with it compact growth, wonderful toothy and hairy pitchers. The burkei contributes robust and strappy leaves. Definitely a great hybrid to add to any collection!
