Nepenthes gracilis Variegated

A gorgeous variegated form of a tiny species!

So excited for this little one to grow up! October 2020
I'm so excited for my first variegated Nepenthes! I am actually quite proud of this particular acquisition - it's rare for me to actually get a good deal on Ebay and I managed to bring this one home at a very reasonable price! This rooted cutting from blueseabrian arrived and both growth points intact. It appears to be a very vigorous grower - lots of pitchers already! I will be updating this page with new pictures as it settles in!
Update December 2020

First good-sized pitcher! Very minimalist, difficult to see any variegation

Still recovering from shipping and not liking the lower winter temps!
This poor gracilis is taking quite a while to acclimate. It doesn't help that our apartment is markedly cooler in the winter. I have been trying to get a seedling heat mat to help heat up the terrarium during the day, but shipping delays and shelter in place orders are making this a surprisingly difficult item to obtain! I also think the light intensity is a little too strong for this one - the green of the leaves are so faded that it is difficult to distinguish between the variegation and the leaf itself.

Finally starting to pick up! Lots of new pitchers and they are quite a bit large than the leaves! A few of the pitcher lids dried up from a day of low humidity.
Current Growing Conditions: Warm Intermediate Terrarium
Light: ~160 PPFD or 8930 Lux under 4000K LED shoplights
Humidity: ~90% night and 67% day
Temperature: ~68F night and 85F day
Water: Moist but not wet
Potting Mix: 50% long fibered sphagnum moss 50% perlite

Fertilizer: MaxSea (1/4 tsp/gallon) every other week into pitchers and lightly spray leaves
Additional Notes: Appears to be a relatively quick grower for me. Excited to see more mature pitchers!
