The picture that made me fall in love! Check out @nepenthesvibez collection!!
From Borneo Exotics: Nepenthes robcantleyi x tenuis BE 3982 was first introduced July 2019, by Borneo Exotics. The female parent of this release has the cultivar name ‘Queen of Hearts. It is probably the most photographed Nepenthes in history, having appeared on many of Borneo Exotic’s gold medal winning Chelsea Flower show exhibits. The male parent is a seed-raised plant of N. tenuis. Borneo Exotics expects considerable variability with this cross. These are a random selection from many clones out of microprop.
As soon as I saw @nepenthesvibez post this magnificent specimen on Instagram, I HAD to have it. Thankfully Brandon was gracious enough to sell me a rooted basal from this spectacular individual! Many of Borneo Exotic's releases are from seed or multiple clones from a micropop, which can have great variability in the final expression of their traits. Sometimes robcantleyi hybrids are out of this world amazing - and other times they appear to be dark and nondescript. This particular clone has a wildly flaring peristome atop an incredibly chunky pitcher body! I recently potted this one up and it is taking advantage of all the room with massive leaf jumps. Can't wait for this one to get adult-sized!

Each pitcher is getting a little chunkier!

So rounded from the back!
This one continues to get chunkier! I especially low how rounded it is from the back - kind of like holding a goose egg!
