The picture that sold me! WOW!!
From Borneo Exotics : "First introduced Mar 2013. The female parent is N. sibuyanensis selected for its orange colouration from the assorted clones sold under BE-3164 and the male parent is the huge Mt. Legaspi N. merrilliana, selected from amongst the assorted clones sold in the past as BE-3117. This plant is exceedingly robust and grows enormous globose pitchers which immediately draw the eye of any visitor to our nurseries. The coloration varies somewhat between individuals as the photos show. Being an intermediate grower, it’s also tolerant of a wide range of temperatures. Random selection from very many clones out of microprop."
I received my medium plant from Bergen Water Gardens in October 2020. The plant arrived potted and in EXCELLENT condition (see unboxing video) and I feel confident that it will acclimate quickly! It arrived with an incredibly tubby pitcher and beautiful lance-shaped leaves with just a hint of red edging. I have always been attracted to sibuyanensis and merilliana, but being a highlander and an extreme lowlander, my chances of success with either species were slim. Crossed together we get a solid intermediate grower, which will excel in my growing conditions! Hybrids are amazing!
Update December 2020
