Another great cross from Predatory Plants! This genetically unique seed grown individual is already a gorgeous saturated red. Excited to watch it grow!

From Predatory Plants: "Remarkable color on this new hybrid! The N. veitchii x platychila clone from Malesiana Tropicals has a great flared peristome and lots of fuzz, and retains a lot of the shape of N. platychila in the upper pitchers. Combined with the rich maroon coloration of N. maxima "Tentena" we're seeing unbelievable red leaves and the beginnings of an incredible pitcher shape."

This little hybrid is going quite quickly! Lots of new pitchers. Nothing really differentiating them yet. I think maxima and their hybrids take a bit longer for them to really show their beautiful mature forms. One curious thing I've noticed is that it is very difficult to see leaf burn on these RED leaves! I had to squint to really see it. Once I moved it further away from the light it started to explode in growth, so look carefully for any changes in texture on those red-leaved plants!

Light: ~170 PPFD or 9730 Lux under 4000K LED shoplights
Humidity: ~90% night and 67% day
Temperature: ~68F night and 85F day
Water: Moist but not wet
Potting Mix: 50% long fibered sphagnum 50% perlite
Fertilizer: MaxSea (1/4 tsp/gallon) every other week into pitchers
Additional Notes: Gorgeous color - entire plant is a saturated red! Grows relatively quickly.
